Treatments with olive Oil for body and soul
All trees number their age in decades; the olive tree numbers it’s own in millennia. Symbol of immortality, perennial tree, strong and proud, resembles man in the resistance and defiance against the harsh conditions of the times.
The Ancient Greeks were spreading oil on their bodies before each battle to bring luck and shine. Mix in a glass bottle olive oil with 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil. After you finished bathing spread on the wet body. Wait until it is absorbed and then wipe away.
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
A bit of sugar
A little lemon juice
1 teaspoon of your shower gel
Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
With a small amount of the mixture gently massage your body in a circular motion.

The Egyptian Queen Cleopatra used to bathe with olive oil to keep her skin healthy. If you do not have bath oils, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the water of your bathtub and your skin will be smoother than ever.
Against cracked heels:
Rub first your heels with a pumice stone and then smear with oil. Wear socks afterwards and leave them until morning; olive oil acts while you are sleeping.
It is available in every home and yet we are unaware of the range of its beneficial properties. It infiltrates easily and deeply into the skin, achieving intensive nourishing and making the skin soft, elastic, but mostly brighter. Below are some simple care tips.
Facial skin care mask with olive oil:
for oily skin: 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon yogurt, 1 teaspoon clay, 2 drops of essential eucalyptus oil.
for normal skin: 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, 1 teaspoon thyme honey.
for dry skin: 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, 1 teaspoon almond oil, 1 tablespoon of banana pulp.
Stir all ingredients until your mixture becomes homogenized, and then spread on the face and neck, except the eye area. Leave it for 20 minutes and then remove with lukewarm water.
Make up removal:
Wet the face with water then massage it with olive oil. With a damp cotton remove the makeup.
Mix 3 tablespoons olive oil and 4 tablespoons of salt. Apply this paste on the pimples and let it stand for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
Olive oil for dry hands:
Add a little amount of oil in a bowl with warm water and dip into your hands for about 15 minutes. Then massage your hands until completely absorbed the oil.
Olive for nails:
Moisturize dry and dehydrated nails with a natural remedy, which strengthens and protects them against any future damage.
1. Heat in a pan a little olive oil for a few minutes (not very hot).
2. Remove the pan from the heat and add a little natural lemon juice.
3. Stir the mixture to become homogenized.
4. Pour the mixture into a glass container and let it cool until it becomes slightly warmer than room temperature.
5. Wet a cotton ball in the oil and apply on your nails. Gently massage the nail area and allow the oil to “dry out” alone
Olive oil helps hair to become more shiny, strong and vital, while it also moisturizes it and fights dry scalp. If you have unruly dry hair, a treatment with olive oil once a week will make them smoother and easier to comb. Whichever of the following treatments you may choose, always use extra virgin of low acidity!
- 1cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 egg yolk
Mix the oil with the egg yolk and spread the mixture all over your hair, refraining from the root zone. Put a shower cap (nylon disposable) and on top a warm towel and leave for 30 minutes. The smell will disappear after washing with warm water.
Mix two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of olive oil. Apply to the hair and wrap it with some cling film, leave about 15 minutes and rinse well with warm water and shampoo.
Apply extra virgin olive oil from root to tip, wrap with plastic wrap and leave to act overnight. Use a towel over your pillow to avoid making stains.
Spread hot extra virgin olive oil (about 1/2 cup) over your hair except the roots (stop 3-4 centimeters away from the root). Put a shower cap or wrap with a towel and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash with shampoo and warm water.
