The staff were exceptionally helpful knowledgeable and polite, the service
was unbelievably efficient, the rooms were very clean and location great! We
definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants value for their money
and likes being treated like a VIP. This hotel is being ran by a family of
professionals that make sure all your needs are met. We were there with a 3
year old child and it was the best choice we could have made not to mention
the breakfast buffet that is the best one we've ever seen!! Feel free to
stay with your family...or for a romantic/honeymoon stay! You will love it!!
We did and we'll definitely go back!!! Highly recommended.

2010 Pleasure place !
Sorry for bad english. Good place, very silence and pure nature place!
In first evening we see little turtle on the wild rock beach in fron of
hotel, they goes from underground to the sea, this is tell that this ground
and sea very clear.
Kostas every day tell where we can go to see archeological site, which is
many near Irida, and at all family Kostas very care about us. Breakfast is
fully enough ! Many taverns near, with difer price from 18 to 50 euro for 3
person. If need town in 5 kilometers Kyparissia.
In right hand from Irida, the best long wild beach with very small pebble,
without people (september).
Recommend to people, who want rest in peaceful, quiet and people less place,
who tired from big hotel, and who want not only lay on the beach, but want to
see historical site and many beautifully nature. Car recommended.
Warm,
welcoming atmosphere on beautiful beach close to many great sights”

This
hotel is perfectly located for exploring the southwestern coast of Greece
and ideal for just relaxing on almost empty beaches (even at the height of
the season) in an area rarely visited by non-Greek tourists. By car ancient
Olympia is less than an hour north; spectacular Navarino Bay (Pylos) and the
remarkable castle at Methoni are an hour to the south; and the incredibly
well preserved Temple of Apollo at Vasses, the waterfalls on the Neda River,
the Frankish castle at Karetaina, and the extant ruins of ancient Meseni are
about the same distance to the east. Kyparrisia Bay itself is a long lovely
expanse of sandy beaches and the nesting area of the Loggerhead Turtle from
May through September (volunteers from the Archelon organization that
protects the turtles have a booth in town and offer tours twice each evening
to watch the hatchlings break free of their eggs, leave their nests, and
head back to the sea for a lifetime in the water--our 12-year-old daughter
went out every night for our week's stay!).
The atmosphere at this hotel could not be more warm, welcoming, and
hospitable. Kostas, the owner of this relatively new ten-apartment hotel
right on the beach, welcomes each visitor and checks back with them at night
and over breakfast, always ready with brochures and maps to help plan
outings, solve logistical problems, give advice on where to eat for lunch
and dinner, etc. The apartments are nicely appointed, with a small
refrigerator, a sink, dishes and cutlery, hot plates, etc. The rooms
evidently were not designed with TV sets in mind and in our two apartments
the screens were small and awkwardly situated for viewing, but that was a
minor inconvenience. The only meaningful drawback in our two apartments was
the small size of the shower stalls, which might bother larger people. The
rooms and general grounds were kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast was
plentiful (omlette, fresh fruit, coffee/tea, yoghurt, toast, bread, jams,
etc.) and served either outside or inside at one's choice between 0800 and
1000. The center of Kalo Nero's beach area is about 200 meters away (loungers
and large umbrellas and cafes), so the area is quiet but one has to walk for
5-10 minutes to one of the six tavernas (all quite good) on the water. The
large city of Kyparissia (with an imposing Frankish fortress) is a 10-minute
drive away and has many restaurants, including a good pizza parlor, on the
town square. The hotel's only real drawback for families with children is
its lack of a swimming pool, although there is a very nice, new public one
about 400 meters away (you pay only for your drinks) right alongside the sea.
There is also a large waterpark near Olympia about 45 minutes north by car.
The beach is sandy above the waterline but pebbly below it, so water shoes
are advisable (they help also when visiting the beautiful waterfalls on the
Neda River).
All in all, a wonderful place to stay.
Rilassante e bello”

Buona struttura.
Parcheggio all'interno dell'hotel, la stanza
aveva una bellissima vista mare. Il wifi era incluso e gratuito.
Veramente un ottimo soggiorno. Bravi ai padroni!

Avevamo
veramente molto, molto interessante e ben allestito.

Bijzondere ligging: eindeloos lege stranden
Heerlijk ontbijt.

Dear Irina & Kostas,
Thank you very much for the pleasant moments we spent in your hotel. It was
very nice to meet your family and to be, for a few days, a part of your
little warm and peaceful universe.
Please insert our lines in your guest book.
"We stayed in this hotel for 13 nights! And was not enough time to enjoy all
the wonderful things around: the quiet beach in front, the splendid nature
of Peloponnese, the very special historical places and not at least the very
nice hotel with its very warm and hospitable owners.
For us, it was an unforgettable holiday. We traveled around and visited
cities and archeological sites (Mr. Kostas, the owner, is very helpful and
tells you a lot of interesting things about Peloponnese) but also we enjoyed
the quiet moments from the hotel with our very clean and nice decorated room
with large balcony with full sea view.
And after a restful night in this hotel, a very rich and good breakfast is
waiting for you. So all we can say is go to Irida Resort Hotel and
you will have a great time!"

It has been 1 week since we arrived home (staying at Irida Resort). We
had a great time. Apartment was clean and comfortable. I appreciate Kostas's
wife who helped me to wash clothes 2 times - which was very suitable (2 kids).
We arrived quite prepared (where to go and what to see) but Mr.Kostas gave
us some additional information and advices. I will not forget rich
breakfasts and 2 more kilograms which I got after that :-).
Greek food is so good. I would like to inform Kostas and all others that I
published a lot of photos on my home page. It is in Slovene, but for
our travel to Greek (Peloponezz) you will understand where photos were taken,
because I divided them by location. I invite you on:
http://www.nastja.com/node/145/. I certainly will recommend the location of Irida Resort to my friends.

Number one hotel and hosts!
We spent three days at irida resort during our round-trip on peloponnesos
peninsula. The hotel was at peaceful area, near by the sea. The room was
wonderful and cleanest hotelroom ever! we still remember those rich and
fresh breakfasts. The owner, kostas, gave us useful information in
surrounding area, the waterfalls etc. We had very intresting conversations
about greek history. Those few days were very relaxing and refreshing. So,
kostas and family, thank you all, we will be back.

No

Great place, wonderful people
Irida Resort was our first stop on our round-trip on Peloponnesus. And it
proved to be a wonderful start on our holiday. We both enjoyed the brand
new resort, the beach and the very friendly owners. They gave us lots of
good tips of interesting places to visit in the surrounding, especially
the waterfalls of the Neda river and the temple of apollon epicurios. We
stayed for only three days, but hope to be able to come back another year.

Wonderful accomodations, lovely view, great hosts.
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Irida Resort. The resort faces the
ocean front. Each apartment is spacious, well decorated and clean, with a
fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the ocean view and breezes from our
balcony and windows. The hospitality was top notch by the Dimitropoulos
family and kind staff. The kalo nero restaurants are down the road. The
resort was quiet and peaceful.

Great place, nice people
This place is really a jewel! the hotel is brand new with best quality
furniture and large balconies, the people are very nice (especially from
kostas, the owner, we got very valuable hints for our sightseeing program)
and the prices are reasonable. Not to talk about the breakfast, which is
normally a nightmare in greece. The one we got in irida was really great!
another important aspect: it is very calm there, especially at night. No
loud music and voices, nearly no traffic in the surrounding streets. All
together irida resort is an number one hint for a nice time in greece.

just a few meters far away from a 16 kms-long beach. kostas, the owner,
welcomed us with a cold drink and provides us lots of good tips to have a

discovery of the waterfalls of the neda river and the visit of the temple
of apollon epicuros on our way to olympia.

hosts were warm, charming and went that extra mile to ensure we had a very
relaxing and enjoyable stay. as these apartments are newly built we found
them to be very clean and fully furnished, with all necessary amenities

the sparkling blue sea is only a short walk away and so is the local
village. all in all, highly recommended.

Wonderful location, immaculate spacious apartments,
huge balconies
Our 1st stay here. The whole complex owned by a typical friendly Greek
family. The Irida Resort is a small, complex of large studios and
apartments. They are going to add a pool, and soon the place will become
the "iris» of gods and humans. This is a wonderful location, only 10
minute walk to the village kalo nero. Immaculate and spacious mini
apartments with huge balconies overlooking kalo nero beach and the Ionian
sea until Katakolon port. The owners are warm, welcoming and constantly
improving. Our room was outfitted with mini range, refrig, coffee maker,
hairdryer, deep tub, ac, tv, and great beds! we love this place and always
immaculate. We will come for many times.
