By plane you arrive at Airports: Athens ATH, Araxos GPA or Kalamata KLX. From April to October there are many charter flights from the most European capitals with cheap tickets. Direct flights to Kalamata International Airport “Captain Vassilis Constantakopoulos” (KLX) linking the area with the most important European cities. The Aegean Airlines, the largest airline in Greece, operating direct flights from Düsseldorf starting in March, and from Stockholm, but also from Munich, beginning in February. Also, direct flights from Paris, Moscow, Kiev and St. Petersburg beginning in May.

With routes through Vienna starting in March, Flyniki / Airberlin connects Hamburg, Berlin, Hanover, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich and Dusseldorf to Kalamata International Airport. Also, the Austrian myHoliday connects Vienna to Kalamata, once a week from May. In parallel, the weekly routes Condor Airlines from Dusseldorf, Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt executed since May.

The routes of Easyjet from London (Gatwick) airport start in April and from (Hamburg) start in June and are performed twice a week. From April, Ryanair flies twice a week from Milan (Bergamo). Lastly the company Thomas Cook performs seasonal direct flights to Kalamata from the UK (London, Manchester and Glasgow).

Ferry boat access:

The port of Patras is the main arrival point for visitors arriving to Greece from the ports of Italy. The port of Kyparissia and the marinas of Pylos and Kyparissia, have all the necessary facilities to accommodate private boats, yachts and sailboats. Lastly the port of Kalamata can accomodate cruise ships from every part of the Mediterranean.
